In my job, no day is the same, which is what I like about it. One moment, I am sharing my knowledge in a workshop with customers, the next I am implementing and configuring the platform. For certain customers, I also carry out pre sales: I visit clients to map their processes and decide how it can be transferred to Salesforce in a scalable and future proof way. In those cases, I am really thinking about the sum of all parts. We make sure that, in the end, there is a functioning CRM system that is able to add to the strategic goals of a company. Thanks to this alternating activities, my work day is not what you would call average. Every day is different.
In my job, you need to be able to translate between customers and our development team. You need to have some interest in technology. I studied International Business Management, and after that a master program for Information Management. I was able to gather a lot of relevant knowledge at Gen25, by taking part in trainings and with the assistance of colleagues. We work in multi-disciplinary teams. That way, you are able to use each other’s expertise and move quickly. Everybody wants to help one another, which is unique. I’ve worked at larger organizations, but people there are more used to focusing on their own tasks.
What I like the most about Gen25, is how varied my job is. I gather a lot of knowledge from working on multiple projects. I can be project-lead on one project and be part of a larger team on the other and work more like a business analyst. To me, those possibilities are the largest advantage of working at Gen25.
However, colleagues and teams are just as important. The atmosphere is very good, and we do a lot of things together. For example, we went skiing together, and it really felt like I went with friends instead of colleagues. It feels like a family.
Gen25 grows really quick. This means you get a lot of opportunities to develop oneself. If you want to do a job in consultancy, it is often because you want a broad area of activity and gain a lot of experience. At Gen25, you get the opportunity to state your preferences, and how you want to develop yourself. The job is demanding, but the environment is relaxed. This last part especially is hard to come by at larger companies. One of the most important goals of Gen25 is having fun while doing our jobs. I think we succeed!
