Gen25 is seeking an exceptional Senior or Principal Business Consultant to play a leading role in the continued growth of our strategy and transformation consulting practice.

You will work closely with the Director of Business Consulting to define, deliver, and scale transformation programmes that help organisations accelerate progress across their most critical business challenges. This role combines strategic problem-solving, hands-on execution, and commercial leadership, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of enterprise strategy and transformation.

You will take ownership of high-impact client engagements, design cross-functional transformation strategies, and guide their implementation to deliver measurable results. Beyond client delivery, you will contribute to the growth of the practice, from shaping our methodologies and go-to-market strategy to mentoring consultants and driving business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation engagements: Design and execute business transformation programmes that connect strategic ambition with operational delivery, spanning areas such as growth & expansion, digital enablement, process optimisation, and operating model optimisation.

  • Strategic advisory: Partner with clients’ leadership teams to frame challenges, identify opportunities, and define transformation roadmaps that drive sustainable business impact.

  • Execution leadership: Oversee end-to-end delivery of business strategy and transformation consulting engagements, ensuring projects meet defined outcomes, timelines, and budgets.

  • Client relationship management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client experience and long-term value creation.

  • Business development & growth: Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing clients, contribute to proposals, pitches, and pre-sales activities.

  • Collaboration & enablement: Work closely with cross-functional teams - including our digital, data, and technology experts - to ensure our strategies are practical, scalable, and supported by the right solutions.

  • Mentorship: Coach junior consultants, foster professional growth, and promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and curiosity.

Job requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years in management or transformation consulting, with a strong record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder programmes that delivered measurable results.

  • Transformation expertise: Deep experience in designing and executing transformation strategies across organisational, digital, or operational domains.

  • Strategic & analytical strength: Strong structured thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable insights and implementation plans.

  • Commercial acumen: Confident in engaging in senior-level discussions, identifying opportunities for value creation, and supporting business growth through strong client relationships.

  • Interpersonal impact: Outgoing, engaging, and naturally collaborative. You inspire confidence and build rapport easily, both with clients and colleagues.

  • Entrepreneurial energy: Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment where initiative and creativity are key.

  • Technology awareness (nice to have): Understanding of how enterprise platforms and emerging technologies support business transformation (e.g. CRM, ERP, AI, automation) is beneficial.
